Innovation and Growth Support from the Home of Innovation

Innovation has been at the heart of everything we do for 33 years. We understand what it means to be truly innovative. We see it every day in the companies with which we work – from the tenants in our building to businesses on our doorstep and in neighbouring counties. We even named our centre after it in 1987, making us the first Business and Innovation Centre in the East of England.

Fast forward to 2020 and we are still doing what we love best – providing coaching and mentoring to management teams within high-growth businesses, helping to give their innovation and ideas the commercial and competitive edge they need to succeed. It goes without saying that we are very familiar with the sectors that make our region world renowned like tech, biotech, Agritech, life sciences, AI, big data, and digital health.

We are entirely focused on outcomes and work in close partnership with our clients to address a number of growth accelerator factors: from vision and strategy; market readiness and alignment, innovation process, internal capability, intellectual property, finance for growth and access to Innovate UK funding to drive R&D and create resilient, disruptive businesses that attract investors. We also have an investment readiness offering, Pitchfest, that helps high growth businesses looking at raising £500k upwards. Applications will open soon.  You can register for further details here.

“This last year has been a roller coaster. Without the St John’s Projects Team’s input into our business model, pitch training and help to source and secure new funding, we would not be looking at such a bright future.”

Nathan Lawrence, Founder & CEO of ANB Sensors

Our team is led by industry expert David Gill. The SJIC Projects Team provides fully funded business support, working as part of the Innovate UK wraparound services, whether your businesses in an Innovate UK funding beneficiary or not. This includes access to the long-established Enterprise Europe Network, helping us to facilitate international business connectivity with Innovation Advisers working across 60 countries.
